Opps, am I doing something wrong?

Hello, first time post. Sorry for it being a long one. I happened to come across the c25k plan, didn't read too much up on it, but decided I'd give it a go. I'm pretty active, in decent shape, coming on 47 but smoking, soon to stop, (waiting to see Dr). I downloaded an app for my android phone, "get running". Tonight I'm about to do the 1st run of week 4. I've just noticed this evening whilst reading up on the c25k plan, I should be running 3 times weekly with a 2 day rest somewhere in the week. But my app is having me run every other day, period. Truthfully I'm okay with this but having noticed it I'm now concerned that I may be doing something wrong! Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks and good luck all.

Don't worry about it, its all fine. I am not sure I would go every day :-) but every other day I can't see being any issue at all.

Thanks for answering, I'll stick with it then. Off out soon, pounding the pavements around Euston station.

Hi, Chelseaposty! Have you not been introduced to Laura and the c25k podcasts? My daughter downloaded it onto her smartphone - not sure how though! If you use the c25k podcasts you'll get all the 'in' jokes in this forum! Good luck for your running! :)

It's a matter of what works for you. For some people, every other day is fine; for others, set days work better. You may find that later in the plan, as the runs get longer, you want the extra day's rest at some point in the week, but just do what fits in with your schedule. :)

The first time I completed the NHS c25k programme I ran every other day rather than just 3 times a week because I loved it so much! I'm on week 7 now after a 6 month break after a foot injury although I must have started at least 9 weeks ago, but have needed longer rest days this time to help my foot.
