This was my 2nd post graduating run and I'm slowing down! It might have something to do with the cycling I've taken up again - and boy , is that hard. I ran for 33 minutes but my time, which was never fast, has decreased. However, my playlist helps - Uptown,Top Ranking can on just as I was about to give up before 30 minutes and they kept me going.
Think I'm slowing down.: This was my 2nd post... - Couch to 5K
Think I'm slowing down.
Focusing on the positive, 33 minutes! That's an increase of 10% over your graduation run I guess as we do more runs we'll all notice that no 2 runs are the same, some are bound to be slower after all they can't all be faster! Maybe other factors came into play, wind, temperature, traffic, pedestrians, or dog dodging etc.
Don't forget to order your graduation badge!
Thank you - I'm sure it will come in time, so I'll try and be zen about it. Not Zen about my badge though - I've emailed a couple of times now!
Make sure you are sending a message to the right person, some old info on here says to send it to JR21 but that is outdated you need to send a message to; couchto5k.healthunlocked.co...
Better than me! I could only keep going for 25 mins last night! Soooo slow but I put it down to all the increased walking i'm doing as a result of the 5x50 and it being so damn windy..... Better than nothing though and still glad I went out.
Luv that song; reminds me of happy teenage years!!

I really struggled with my run yesterday after a long bike ride on Tuesday. I did my 30 min tempo run, then 10 mins recovery jog and was supposed to do another 10 mins at tempo pace, but just couldn't. I ran/walked/jogged/ground to a halt.
What's happened to me? Twenty years ago I could go 40-50 miles off-road on my bike and still be fit the next day! It can't be an age thing... can it...?
I'm still sore from swimming on Tuesday so just did a gentle pub 5k with the other half last night. Am really not looking forward to running tonight and I know for a fact it will be slooow! I think this 5x50 is taking it's toll on us all but hopefully by the end we will all be feeling better.
