Hi, Just about to start the programme. Excited and nervous! Is there a chart anywhere so I can record my progress?

Hello Minsterjane,

If you have a smartphone, you can use apps like Runkeeper to track stuff like your time/speed/distance as you run. The progress gets saved and you can also view it online.

Good luck!

Hi minsterjane I use Endomondo on my smart phone, it's free to download. See my blogs. Do what Laura says and you will be fine. Good luck. Pat :-)

I think if you are just starting then just moving on through the programme is sufficient indication of progress. For me the time to keep some sort of chart/record is after graduation.

We used endomondo to track info. I then had a personal journal which I kept a record of each run/week and recorded how the run went to refer back to. Gayle

Thanks. I feel positive and the support on the website is already helping!

I started a blog from the off to record my thoughts as I progressed through it but agree with Boudicca that worrying about distance or times is something to leave untuil you're finished, or at least almost done.

Welcome to the site and good luck with the programme, it's tough but stay injury free and with a bit of mental strength, you'll be running for 30 minutes in nine weeks time!.

I like numbers, so I made myself a table in a Word document, and then advanced to an Excel spreadsheet (yup, totally mad!).

I also blogged, which I'd not done before, and really enjoyed. Lovely to share successes, but also really good for support when things get a bit tricky.

:)

I've also got a sparkpeople page (google it) - you can track your fitness on there, if you don't have a smartphone. Good for food and weight tracking too, if you're interested in that.

I had an excel spreadsheet too of all my runs using the data gathered from mapmyrun so I could easily compare. I am a real stats geek though and loved it! It's so motivating to see the numbers changing run on run.
