Went out today for a little trot. Stil trying to take it easy as ankle and hip still a bit sore still (depsite ice bath!) Was blinking cold to start but soon warmed up, just took it gently but pleased to have ran 40 minutes. I was a bit sore afterwards but couple of icepacks, roast dinner and a snooze on the sofa and I'm not feeling too bad!

I was pleased with new trainers too, they didnt rub and pain in my hip 'moved' so guessing they might be changing my posture/technique. ( Hopefully for the better!)

I'm just going to keep going with the gentle runs and not push self to go any faster until ankle is 100%...

Looking forward to the lighter evenings this week too, and next week the clocks change! Yea!!!

Hmmm... 'took it gently' and 'ran 40 minutes' - I think you and are on different programmes :D Glad the new trainers seemed to work for you!

I meant I ran slowly and tried to not 'push' myself too hard. :-)
