Tonight's session was much better - turned the heating off after Tuesday! I'm doing the first run of week 3 on Sunday and I'm actually going to be brave and head outside rather than using the treadmill... unless the predicted snow turns out to be a blizzard of course!
W2R3 - Done!: Tonight's session was much better... - Couch to 5K
W2R3 - Done!
Well done!! Was week 2 easier than week 1 or harder? I am on w1r2 and don't know what to expect next week I hope I get as far as you!!!! Thinking positive and aiming high x
It was more effort but for me, I don't think I would necessarily call it harder. If anything I think I found the walks more boring, especially the cooldown walk... seemed to go on forever!
Next week with 3 minute runs will probably be a whole different kettle of fish!
I just finished W2R3 this evening. I really felt a sense of achievement with it, thinking how much better I'm doing. My dog is also learning some more running/lead manners. Bring on week 3 this weekend.
I've never put so much thought into trainers before, has anyone invested in new trainers for this?
I'm on W2 as well. Should have finished R3 yesterday but came down with a temperature and cold so have taken a few days off Anyway, back to the point: I went to a specialist shop after the first two runs as I have no trainers, only walking shoe things, spent about an hour to 90 minutes trying lots on with great advice and running more up and down the shop than I did actually on the runs I think! I came away with a great pair which did cost a bit but are a good investment. I felt like I was on springs on my first run after, and that was on a day when I'd had little sleep and was very tired. Also, my dodgy knee did not hurt or twang until the very last run with them on. Result.
Well done sooztoo!!
Good luck for your next run in the great outdoors!! Will be different for you no doubt but I'll be great!!
Keep us all updated and keep running
