Well got a half day off, felt like I was truanting from school! Had to buy a shower fitment as I have had to virtually lay down to get the water to mix, or I would freeze or scald, not good before early shift or after a run! New one bought and fixed (hopefully- will be trying it soon!) then out for my run...
I ran 45 minutes non stop, absolutely no stopping at all! 3.5 miles, 5.6k!
I kept a steady (slow) pace (Imap says 4,17mph, which is 6.7kph, but that includes the 5 minutes warm up walk).
I ran alongside the dual carriageway to the furthest end of the park, up a slip road from the main road, as the traffic lights were out there was queueing cars nose to tail which it felt good to run past - happily only 2 comments, from smiley faces, couldn't quite hear what was said with Laura playing, but I am taking them as encouragement (I will never know any different anyway!)
Tried to slow to a walk after leaving the park but it was harder to walk than jog, so jogged back home, seemed like legs didn;t want to slow down!
Now I am thinking if DS comes up Friday night will he get out of bed early Saturday to do the Parkrun with me... Would not be as worrying as going on my own! Will sound him out later, get him to register, print hos barcode, then he can run in public with his Mum, just what every 23 year old wants on a weekend, ha ha!
