I had 2 really bad runs last week and felt really low about it ... got lots of support on here and had a good talk to myself and had a really good run last night. Believe in yourself and you can do it. Lisa :-)

Thanks lisa, like most people on these blogs we all seem to keep giving our selves a good talking too, I also find myself talking to laura, just waiting for the men in white coats to cart me off. Keep running.

We all have difficult runs sometimes - it's just what happens. I've found that quite often, the next run is a much better one, perhaps because my expectations are so low that it *has* to go better than I think! Just do your best, do the week again next week, and (if all else fails), remember how hard you found week 1 and look how far you've come since then... ;)

Oh, yes, I've talked out loud to Laura!

Now, are you going slow enough? (Nag, nag, nag.) It is almost always possible to go slower - shorter steps, slower steps...

Anyway, you can't be a loser now, because you already know you can run for ten minutes and some more. Which I bet is more than most people do (and ten times more than most of us could do before we started). Doesn't matter how far you run, or how fast - you *can* run. And you will run further, so long as you keep getting started. So there! :)

Edit - you have already run 20 minutes! Just needs a bit more practice to feel comfortable.

Week 6 can be a bad week for many because of the intervals. Keep the spirit, run the 3rd run and move on to week 7!!! You may just be one that prefers the longer runs. I'm sure you can crack this, otherwise you wouldn't have made it this far! :-) As far as easier, for me...no! It was a struggle for me the entire program. That said, I have never regretted doing it and following through. I have gained such a sense of confidence and the sense of achievement after a run can't be beat! Good luck to you!! Gayle

Dont worry, it will all come together. We all have bad runs and we bash them over the head next time. Take some rest and try it again in a day or two. I think I might need two days between longer runs now but just listen to your body but dont give up! This forum is great to jeer us all on. Also,...I look at the Youtube post of ben davis to spur me on. Gets me every time!
