Went out for my first post-graduation run yesterday morning; thought I would try stepping stones, my legs were still aching from my grad run on SUnday, but yesterday I found it hard!
Maybe because it was forcing me to run at a faster pace than my usual plod but I felt I couldn't settle into it, and had to slow to a walk a couple of times, and had a moan at Laura under my breath!
I did the first and last sections ok, but struggled in the middle. There loads of people out in the park (why do people in wellies not want to move over and go on the muddy grass, but force me to in my trainers? Grrr!)
Did 4.9k, but felt disappointed, think I may take two days rest, unless my daughter wants to go out for week 1 run 1 tomorrow. Rest day today, have trip to Ikea then grandson here for a sleepover - that will cheer me up!

Made my way out of Ikea ok, it was horribly busy as half term week, spent half an hour with grandson climbing in and out of wardrobes whlie his Mum looked at things she's already decided to buy in a couple of weeks!
Oh well, now cuddled up with grandson watching Cbeebies, just need to tear him away to buy milk for breakfast!
Hi Poppy, congrats on your graduation. Lots of people struggle a bit with stepping stones - I think you have to adjust your stride - maybe make it shorter? Don't be disheartened, you're doing really well. If you can get into the 5k+ podcasts they are brilliant to consolidate your 5k/30min achievement and to build up speed and stamina. Best wishes!
Thanks Oona, I will be pushing on, got to improve! Will be going with my daughter tomorrow, she's starting C25k from week 1 again, so will use that as an extra session!
