It wasn't fast and I'm sure it wasn't pretty but W5R2 done and I can hardly believe it. I haven't done any sport of any kind for a very very long time and when I started this I was convinced I would collapse in a heap and be carted off with a coronary in week 1 but here I am and it's all thanks to reading all your wonderful blogs and inspirational stories and I just want to say thank you. (And Laura!) Bring on run 3, (and there it is, the little gremlin has just jumped back on my shoulder and is whispering '20 mins? not a chance' Grrr)
8 minutes? Twice? Me? Oh yes!!!!: It wasn't fast... - Couch to 5K

Well done and just think that after your next run you will be even more amazed at what you can do.
Great news, well done......I'm struggling with week five and bad health so hope to be joining you soon.
you guys are gonna love the feeling after W5R3... bordering on euphoric!!
Woo hoo well done, bring on wk5r3 you can do it
Well done you! I have this run to do on Saturday and that little voice is there already "you can't do it nah nah de nah nah". Reading your post gives me faith. Thank you!
Well done you, get the the 20mins under your belt and you will feel great. Good luck with the rest of the programme. Don't worry about being slow, I am 74 and slow but still out there. - pat
Thank you all for the lovely comments, still feeling very high this morning, rest day today and then kick that evil gremlin into touch for good tomorrow, hopefully!!!
I didn't think I could do it, but I did. So can you! Just take it slooooow and gentle. And kick those gremlins in the teeth! (That's meant to be an angry-looking gremlin and a smiling you.)
if you think w5r2 is good you're going to love the feeling after w5r3. Get a steady rythm and when Laura tells you there is only 5 minutes more just remember how many times you've already done 5 minutes. 5 minutes is easy.
