So my last post was in October. Thankfully that wasn't my last run, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit to going off the running boil for a while. I struggled with a dodgy knee/hip and shin splints there for a time. Plus dark mornings and bad weather did not encourage me out of the house. Then I realised all my clothes were getting a little tight...ummmm maybe I was getting a bit couch potatoey again. So last week (before New Year, yay!!) I made up my mind to focus and get running properly again.
I've looked around for a reasonable 10k run to do. Someone told me the Manchester one in May is quite flat so now I'm aiming for that. So I'm officially back in the running groove. It feels nicer going out in the dark knowing that by the time May gets here I will be running in the daylight again.
Next year I think I will invest in the gym membership for Nov - Jan.....
