I had enthusiastically managed to get to wk 3 run 2 before awful weather, childcare problems and a chest infection stopped me for nearly 2 weeks. I'm now unsure what to do! Should I start again on week 1 after Xmas as I still feel poorly and unable to run? I was getting so used to going out for a 'run'.
Any advice anyone?

Hi belles i am on W3R2 as well. If i stopped i would just go back to W3R1 and start again from there. I would not go right back to the beginning personally as you probably havent lost much fitness. It does of course on how you feel when you actually go back out again. Good luck, Ed
I don't think whatever you choose to do would be 'wrong'. So long as you have recovered from your infection then start wherever you feel confident at.
I got to w5r1 before having to stop for 3 weeks. I chose to start again and do 1 run from week 1 to see how I felt. That was personal to me as I wanted to test how I felt running. I enjoyed that run so much that I've decided to do 1 run from weeks 2,3 and 4 to build up again.
As Ed says you probably won't have lost much fitness and could do w3 r1 again.
The choice really is yours - just make sure you are feeling good before you run.
I'm definitely not fit but I've amazed myself every time I've completed a run. I think we'd be surprised to find that we are actually fitter than we feel. Each week I finished I thought that I ought to stay longer on that week as I wasn't confident I could do the runs in the following week. But by the time the next run came I decided I would just give the next one a go - and I managed to do them.
When I was feeling ready to carry on I just wanted to give myself an easy time. The success of redoing a week 1 run felt really great. I could have tried a week 4 run and I might have managed it. That would have felt great as well. However if I'd had to walk part of it although that wouldn't have mattered physically it would have been worse mentally. I think the mental side of how we feel is so important. We are all different.so when you are better start wherever feels right for you.
So, look after yourself, get better and enjoy your next run.
If it was me and I am not great at giving advice I would start at week 3 so just consolidate week 1 again. I know what you mean as ran my final day today but in the run up I had redundancy, finding another job 80 miles away then slipped on the ice when it had all but disappeared trying to get into my car and banged my knee. This was Dec 13th week 7 run 1 approx and thought I was never going to be able to do this as I just could not get any consistency then luckily my knee stopped hurting and Christmas was a big help as helped me to run weeks 8 and 9 together.
You will get there I am sure of it. Why? Because you have done what I did and asked the question. I still remember my question of how do I get through 5 mins without a deep cough and pain in my stomach. It still feels like yesterday but it isn't. When I restart I always go back 1 and might sound silly but helped me so when I started week 7 after a gap I first completed week 6 run 3. I suppose it is the same as stopping midway through a novel for work or in this case running commitments I always go back 3 or 4 pages to get my thread but importantly confidence of yes I can continue I am happy I am up to date.
