As I was running around my route last night I was pondering what I will do once I finish the last 2 runs. I have been quite driven as I am really determined to graduate from the programme, but once that is done I am concerned that I won't have a real goal, and I still have a few more pounds that I would like to shift.
I did look at the B210K podcasts, but I am not sure whether I have enough spare time to fit that in 3 times a week. So what is the next best thing?
I thought I might set myself the goal of getting my time down. I am currently running 5K in about 29 minutes 15 seconds, and thought I could target shaving 15 seconds off a week. The only problem I see here is that I wont be making any progress on the distance I can run, and I would like to do a 10K, and then maybe half marathon at some point.
It would appear that most people seem to have some sort of dilema once they complete the programme, and I was wondering whether anyone could give me some suggestions?
Thanks..

Very well done on the weight loss and your progress so far on your running journey! Just 2 runs left - a-maz-ing isnt it?!
Getting your time down??? I think you have that already nailed so if I were in your shoes I would go for distance if you are aiming for a 10k. Some like the structure of the 5k+ podcasts but others just want to increase their time and distance but also enjoy the freedom of just runing for the pleasure of it; I fall into the latter category though I never thought I would.....
Best of luck for W9R2 and your grad badge is nearly there for the taking!
I found the best choice, for me, after completing C25K was to run for both speed and distance. I did two short, fast runs (using the 5K+ podcasts sometimes), and one long run - gradually increasing time/distance similar to the B210K podcasts. I used the B210K podcast for a couple of weeks, but didn't find it helpful and I switched to my own music.
I used a pace calculator to determine the paces I should be aiming for on the 3 differently paced runs - speed, tempo and long, slow distance.
