I used W6R3 for my first Parkrun. I walked the first 5 minutes, used it as my warm up. This gave the field chance to spread out and made it easier when I started running, then walked a bit after the 25mins, then a gentle jog to the end. Parkrun is a wonderful experience, everyone is very supportive and I took a huge amount of confidence from it. Don’t forget your barcode.

I did my first Parkrun shortly after graduation. If I had tried it while still on the C25K programme, I'd have done the first five minutes as warm up walk, then run for 25 minutes or 28, or 30,depending what week I was on, then walked the rest of the course. Lots of people walk some or even all of it so you won't feel like the odd one out.

I did my first before the plan... and walked it all! If you can stick to running the run you’re due to do, go get some parkrun support for your run... if you’re not strong enough to not try to run the whole thing, wait until you can run 5k.

I intend to run my first parkrun 56 weeks after I graduated from C25K, better late than never.

Looking forward to hearing all about it, I think you're going to really enjoy it.

Yesterday I went to the park where I will be running to preview and get to know the course, I managed to talk to the run director and showed her my barcode to prove who I am, she looks forward to seeing me in a couple of weeks when I will be running, be assured I will report back here on how I get on. 😊

I’d say whenever you feel comfortable (I started at wk 8 but wished I’d gone sooner, even if I’d had to walk it), you can walk, run, jog or any combo 🙂

The atmosphere is great, no one is left behind and there’s all abilities 🤗 x

I started in week 2 and did the session within parkrun including the 5 min walk. I’ve not stopped going since.
