The infamous Week 5, run 3...

Did this on Sunday morning. Was dreading it before I left, but actually made it and wanted to burst into tears afterwards!

Haven't had time to run since but I'm about to go out and do Week 6 run 1, if my feet don't freeze to the ground.

Brilliant Lucy! You are not alone in getting emotional over this run as it really is a milestone in the programme and in your progress. You now know that 30 mins is achievable which is a great feeling too!

Going back to a few interval runs may feel like a step back after this and lots find it hard after the euphora of W5R3 but it is there for a purpose, to give you the stamina to cope with the longer runs coming up so I wish you well for week 6! Keep on running and your feet wont freeze!!

I admit I did turn on the waterworks at the end of that first 20 minutes - but as Sue says for many of us its the first time we actually know we can do this. Before then, sure you believe it - but sometimes you think it might not work for me as you struggle to run for 2 or 3 minutes at a time. 20 minutes though - if you can do that you _know_ you'll manage 30 eventually. Well done - not far to go now!

Congrats lucy, the hard work paid off which is why all that emotion came out. Brilliant advice above from Sue and Jadis. Good luck for the coming weeks, stick at it, you can do it :)

Absolutely wonderful, Lucy!!! It is a wonderful feeling to complete those 20 minutes, isn't it!! Congratulations!!!

A bit of forewarning...be careful with W6. You can most definitely do it, but don't let the confidence of finishing your 20 minutes get in the way!! The interval running is much harder than we give it credit for being!! :-) Nice and steady pace and you will be through it before you know what happened!! :-)

Keep Running!! :-)

Well done Lucy. It's a fantastic feeling isn't it:) Keep it up. The target is within reach now you have passed the half way stage, and for many the biggest mental block other than starting!.

Good luck with the rest of the plan.
