well after a brilliant run Saturday tonights was totally "poo pants" as my Dad would say ... was it cos i ate before i went out ? the fact that i had a very mentally stressful day ? or cos i had horrible thick joggers on?? All good excuses but basically i was rubbish tonight only ran for 20 mins and achieved 3.5k then it just didn't feel right so i slowed down and stopped faliure bumocks wednesday i'll try again !

That's the spirit - put it behind you, chalk it down to experience and have another go another day. BTW, 3.5k in 20 mins is good! Not a failure at all.

That is NOT a failure! You got out there after a bad day and ran! The failure would have been using eating a bit late and having a rubbish day as an excuse not to go out at all! Not so many weeks ago you would have been incredulous if someone told you that you would soon be running 20 mins and coming home disappointed :-P

they are right, not a failure, a good time for 3.5K and at least you got out there. Enjoy the choc and book. Anyway, if you don't occasionally have a bad run, how will you recognise a good one? ;-)
