Hi y'all. I've been MIA for a few days, but I'm still going strong. My martial arts tournament wasn't that great. I placed 2nd. I know that sounds good, but there were only two competitors. I'm not going to let it get me down. I'm just going to keep on truckin. Next time, I'll do better.
I started week 2 this morning. I really didn't have too much trouble with it. Last week, I had a few incidents of very tight calf muscles during my runs. This week is better. Maybe my running form is getting better or my calves are getting strong? Possibly both? Less pain is always good. I think that I may be running too fast. I'm able to keep up with it now, but I'm worried about how I will fair in later weeks. AAAHH...Kimber, just take it one day at a time!
I did sign up for my first 5K! It will be on January 1st in a small coastal town near my home. I'm really looking forward to it. It does really give me incentive to keep training. I put up a poster for the run on my fridge and the poster board in my office to keep me motivated. I'm also telling people about it so they'll ask me how I'm doing. I can't let my friends down, can I? There's another run that I'm interested in. It won't be until September of 2013. It's a zombie obstacle course run! How fun does that sound?!
