Okay so we've had a variety of questions and answers about whether or not to wear shorts over tights. My question is what on earth do you wear under them!? Boxers are too big and bulky! Talk about VPL! and I'm not sure that going commando really gives you any *ahem* support. What is your solution to this problem?

Beneath the base layer question for the C25K boys!!!
I'm not a boy but have a suggestion for you. When my husband wore his kilt for my daughters wedding he wore underwear that looked like close fitting shorts that kept all his bits in place, apparently very comfy. I don't know the correct name for them though.
Boxer briefs, at least in my lingo - and as snug as they can be they do cause VPL. Mark, when I went running yesterday I only wore my base layer top. The tights look crap over my briefs so I can only assume the solution is jockstrap, but surely that's going to cause severe cheek chill?
Hide the VPL with shorts over the top ?
Can you get close fitting lycra-type boxers ? My beloved wears cycling compression pants as underwear in winter.
Commando is the only way that I have found completely satisfactory. Reduces "man chaffage" quite dramatically
Thanks for sharing that with us greg
I can now confirm that commando is the way to go! ;P
Sorry sfb350 but no photographs im afraid!
I was under the impression that you weren't supposed to wear anything under them anyway. Prevents wicking and work amterial to chafe. Definitely a commando-ist.
