I did it! I wore it, and I mean I wore it so people could see it, not covered up by a hoodie And do you know what? It was okay. I felt like a couple of people were Looking At Me but I focused on running past them.
And yes, I was the same berry colour at the end of my run, but hey - that just proves I've been working, no?
So thank you to all of you who encouraged me to get out there and wear it. You were absolutely right - I earned it, so I should wear it with pride. This community is amazing - the support and generosity are outstanding.
Off to consider buying the long-sleeved fluoro yellow version now

Heh, well I considered going for the pale blue in the hope that the reflection would cool my colour down, but there ani't nothing gonna tone down the puce that my face is after a run Thanks, rubbishrunner - I'll wear it again now!
PS - I wish you would change your name!!! I don't like calling you rubbishrunner 'cos you're not!
Ha, I know, mine is a fetching beetroot shade, don't know whether that or the panting is the most embarrassing! Am less embarrassed than I used to be, and at least we are out there doing it! Definitely wear it with pride
I'm not as rubbish as I used to be, but more of a shuffling runner now - will consider changing it when I get to 5k!
