After several happy weeks when at least I had all 6 C25K+ podcasts resident on my phone, I set out and found that yet again, some of them had disappeared, this time leaving me only with the Stamina pair. I am really fed up with this because it is such a performance getting them to download successfully. I have an iPhone 3. Any ideas?
Why do podcasts keep disappearing from my phone? - Couch to 5K
Why do podcasts keep disappearing from my phone?
If you are using the Podcast app then it is probably related to that. It's a shockingly bad app that Apple really shouldn't have released in its current form (and I am an Apple devotee)!! I had trouble with them randomly stopping half way through a run.
There is a work around that involves deleting the Podcast app and restarting your phone (the podcasts then appear in Music as before). But it does mean that you can't download podcasts directly from your phone and have to sync them through a computer instead.
No, not using the app - downloading direct from iTunes as for some reason they won't sync from my MacBook which has them all downloaded and sitting there uselessly... I'm not exactly the world's lightest travelling runner but I can't face running with my laptop on my back!
I also recently had a problem with the podcasts app and the 5K+ podcasts. I was trying to play the stamina one last week on the podcasts app and it kept playing some other random one! I had to do the stepping stones one again instead. I also think the player is the problem.
Go onto itunes and select podcasts. Select the "settings" button at the bottom of the page and select "settings" for NHS couch to 5k and then "episodes to keep" select all episodes.
The other option is, highlight all the podcasts, right click and choose "do not auto delete". If this is set to auto delete the the blue dot next to the podcast will turn into a half circle when part played and then disappear when play has finished and then the next time you sync to your phone or ipod it will disappear which is what you dont want to happen.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for this...I think some of this has to be at least part of the answer for me. I don't think I have the problem quite fixed but I have at least now got the podcasts I need back on my phone and for the first time, transferred, and transferred quickly and easily, from laptop to phone. Phew
I dont have an iphone so put all of the podcasts onto a micro sd card & used them that way. would this help those with iphones?? perhaps download as an mp3 & then maybe the iphone cant remove them as they are on a removeable card??
I have an ipod and was experiencing the same problem. My son solved it for me-I hadn't told the family I was doing this, so they only found out last Saturday week :-).
The reason they disappear is if you charge up the battery on the PC. You should charge up with an electrical socket plug in. This solved the problem for me-no more disappearing pods.
Hope this helps.

You can redownload the disappeared podcast from iTunes and sync them to iPhone. I suggest you can try FonePaw iOS Transfer to manage everything of your iPhone. The program can support you to import and export the podcast in batch.
