I'm doing all this extra exercise and don't believe I'm eating differently, So why am I not loosing weight?

Having made it to Week 7, I am clearly getting fitter, but I had expected to loose a little weight along the way too moving from no exercise to 3 x 30 mins per week. Why might this be?

Perhaps you have gained a lot of muscle mass. So although the scales are showing no difference, your measurements will hopefully have decreased. Are your clothes feeling any looser? :)

First of all welcome to this community Treborstone and very well done for getting this far. :-)

You will lose weight, believe me. It's weird but you will get to a point where you will see that your body looks toned and you will have built up more muscle in place of the fat. At least that's what happened to me, and I'm 10 years older than you :-)

Thankyou both for your replies. weight loss was not my primary reason for starting this journey so dont worry I'm not downhearted. I guess what you are both saying is that it will come once my body has changed enough to cope with the running better.

Hi Treborstone, sorry to read about your frustration. I'm no help with advice of my own I'm afraid, but if you use the search box at the top right of the page and type in "weight loss", "losing weight" or similar, it'll bring up loads of useful blogs and questions where people have posted about this before.

Well done on getting to week 7!

Hi, I wrote a blog about this yesterday. Take a look and hopefully it may help you. I had your frustrations in week 6/7 but the weight is coming off now! :)

Thanks for pointing me towards your blog, it was a good read with some great comments. I know this plan is working as I am undoubtedly fitter which was the primary goal. I'll just have to be a little more patient with the weight loss by the look of it.
