Looking forward to week 2 as my shifts allow some day running outdoors!! Are my thighs supposed to feel like lead???

LOL - yes, it's mandatory! Well done on completing Week 1 and enjoy the outdoor running -it's a whole other ballgame. I'd like to say that it gets easier... but I can't! But what does get better is your sense of achievement - as the programme progresses you may find parts of your body hurt that you didn't even know existed - it's a revelation!

Yes they are! I'm on my 5th run next and I think stairs are positively evil! You can do it though, running helps the ache for me...I find the rest days hurt more then the running days. Keep going though :)
