Thanks Delia; interesting article.
I like the idea of the "Run to the Beat" and near to me too so I might just have that as something to aim for for next year - a half marathon?? Gulp!!
I get it and when doing the River Ness 5K I wondered whether to run in my mini kilt over my running shorts. I chose not too, but would have done if I'd been running with someone else and we'd both dressed up. There were a fair few runners in costumes (a lot in 'onsies' sleep suits(what's that about?)) and the radio presenter who was commentating on the 5K race highlighted them as they came into the final stretch.
A friend commented that I should have dressed in a costume like these characters (not runners, but National Trust Staff) at the Culloden Run on Sunday. But it took me all my time to run 10K dressed in running gear: flickr.com/photos/swan-scot...
Just had a peek at your photos Swan. You live in the most incredibly beautiful surroundings. Wow!
Wow! Incredible views swanscot (sorry, was sneaking a peek at the other photo's too!) and you really make running look so much fun!
I like the sound of the Gunpowder Plod!! My (ahem 40th) birthday is on 5th November this year, that would have been a cracking event to do, I wish I'd heard of it earlier...
