Had a failed run this morning, only managed 3k, can't blame the heel, just couldn't get into it. Went for a 5k walk this afternoon. Try a run again in the next few days. Suppose as long as I am adding k's at the moment is being the couch potato I was not that lng ago asking up one excuse after another so as not to have to exercise!!

Well done for getting out there. Although, it's not a failed run, no run is a failed run as you are out there 'doing it'. It was just a shorter managable run

Walked 4.5, ran 4.5, cycled 5 today.
I did the Stamina podcast tonight, if only it had been a few minutes longer.
I got shin splints yesterday, I haven't had them for ages!

Cycling for me again today, This time I stuck to the roads (which is slow going on a mountain bike), but had a tough wee spin, I did 26 km, but that included several hills including one long climb from sea level (at the Beauly Firth) to 150m in just over 2km. I couldn't make it all the way on my bike and had to push for the last kilometre up that hill.
Then after all that effort going uphill, I didn't enjoy the long whiz down as break-neck speed. I used to go as fast as I could, yelling "Yeehaw!" and generally acting like a big kid, but in the last couple of years I become such a feartie, that I ca' canny
