Fantastic stuff, where are we now day 15?
Yesterday was a good day for being outside, today is pretty nice too.
I did a quick 6k on a gym bike this morning as I am in a hurry. Am about to head out to a christening.
My nephew's baby is being christened, however I still remember his christening as not being that long ago.
I am getting old.
I'm was going to have a quiet day, after yesterday's hillwalking, but have agreed to do my 'long slow distance' run - which I had a mess of on Friday - with my son's girlfriend. She's training for a 10K next weekend and we worked out her usual running speed, is what I should be doing form my slow run.
I suggested we go "mid-morning". I've been up pottering about and made a huge pot of soup to come back to; meanwhile the young things haven't surfaced yet!
Am beginning to feel better so may get something done later before the next lot of yucky pills.
George42, I have 3 grand kids I am def getting old! Enjoy the christening.
Swanscot, enjoy your run, it's a lovely day for it.
Ok so didn't do any of the challenge today but did get some garden stuff done. Hubby got 90% of the lock block done in pink when I decided I wanted buff instead so while he took the pink ones off I went to B&Q to pick up buff ones (felt I should!!!). So because I've done no exercise I made macaroni cheese (don't normally eat carbs that much) and had chocolate. Oh dear, roll on tomorrow and a healthier day!
Son and GF eventually surfaced just before noon and GF wondered if I'd been out and back already! (Wishful thinking by her...? ) We had a lovely run. No pressure to do any particular distance - apart from complete the circuit - no pressure to do any pace. It felt like simply running for the fun of it!
We did a long, leisurely 8.4 km in 1 hour 10 mins. I blogged about it here: couchto5k.healthunlocked.co...
My legs were tired when we got back - and still are and I fear they may be very stiff tomorrow as I know I didn't stretch enough afterwards. What with my routine being changed and returning home hungry (I hadn't eaten all day and it was past 1pm) I only spent a couple of minutes doing my stretches/
Tomorrow is definitely a rest day - ie a 5 km walk in the woods.
I have not had a drink or eaten rubbish since the start of September.
My excercise app shows I have burned an ungodly amount of calories this month.
I weighed myself yesterday and have put on weight.
I feel I deserved the empty calories as compensation.
