Scary Week 5 Run 3 coming up!!!

Well that's Week 5 Run 2 done. And you know what that means. The dreaded W5 R3 is nigh! Sunday morning is D Day. I really don't know how I'm going to do it. Today's run was difficult enough just running for 8 minutes straight so 20 doesn't bear thinking about. I don't even know where I'm going to go as it will need to be further than my usual route I think. Anyone else who is at this stage, I would welcome any tips as to how to get through this most difficult of runs!

Thanks

You'll be fine! I did mine this morning and actually covered less distance than my earlier ones. Just kept to a steady slowish pace to make sure I finished. Good luck!

i did mine Wednesday.. and i wondered how i would do it but i did .Take it slow and steady and you'll be fine. I had to stop very briefly at about 15 minutes just for a few paces and then carried on. Good luck you'll do it i'm sure..

I did mine today (you can read the blog I just posted) - my advice would be exactly the same, pacing is key as you don't really know how you will find it and speed up later in the run if you feel able.Mine was slower than other runs but I feel I achieved so much more! Good luck!

Just got back from my wk5 run3 - I did it! I'm not saying it wasn't a challenge - it was. But no more than the final run of earlier weeks when I was running for much less time. It really is the mental battle in this run - believe you can and you will.

It's D Day for me tomorrow too. I'm trying to be positive and remember that what everyone has said about having faith in the programme has proved to be true so far but it still doesn't stop that nagging little voice in the back of my head lol. Good luck for tomorrow :o)

I felt exactly the same, went out doomed to failure and came back mega-surprised and elated. You will be fine, Laura has prepared you and you are ready. Just take it at a steady pace, save the "Mo moment" for the last minute, if you feel the urge! Best of luck, willbe thinking of you all doing your runs tomorrow!

I did it!!!!!!!! Was dreading it this morning but I was determined. I decided to go to the park and run there as its flatter than my usual route and has no roads to cross like my usual route. And I did it!!! It was hard work and I kept a fairly slow pace but I completed the whole run with no stops and I didn't throw up or collapse! Thanks to everyone for your encouraging words. Bring on week 6 run 1 on Tuesday :)
