When she says "Are you ready ? You can do it" does any one else respond to her ? Or when she says "Well done" do you say "Thanks", like I do ?
Am I the only old loony who's running around the British country side ?

I don't say thanks, but I grin like an idiot !! lol
I did thank her at the end of my first run.
I also gave myself the pat on the back that she said I deserved.
I just swear at her alot...but i do apologise at the end!
definitely not alone there.. ispeak to her all the time ... generally in answer to are you ready NO..only 1 more minute-you can do it..I KNOW and Thanks at the end.Just glad i'm out at 6am when no-one can hear me
I did the pat on the back thing. Most of the time I'm disagreeing with her - such as the breathing through the nose thing. Knowing my sinuses if I did that I would die!
I normally bitch at her when we start another run and she says "hope you didn't exhaust yourself too much" when I clearly have !!
All the time, including swearing at her when she suggested "maybe some water" at the break between runs today. Never has water been mentioned until now, my water was in the tap, a five minute brisk walk and ten minute jog away. But generally I do chat to Laura, I like to imagine that were anyone to see me they'd think I was on my phone or something; despite the fact I'm listening to an iPod!!
Yep I talk to her, bitch at her, swear at her but rarely thank her. I might tomorrow when she calls me a runner.
Me too, specially when I'm expecting her to say "you've got 60 seconds left" and she announces there's a whole 5 minutes to go! I do my runs muttering "Talk to me, Laura" as I bumble along, hoping that by some miracle I'm nearly half way or whatever. But when she saysv"well done" I feel so proud!
I make noises of frustration ("Mmppph! Grr!") when I could swear 10 minutes have gone by but Laura doesn't come back on "on schedule." And once I gave a bitter laugh when she said, "By now you'll have a nice rhythm going and hopefully aren't feeling too exhausted," when in reality I was red-faced and tired.
I'm afraid I tend to snap 'no' and what do you know' at her ) :
yes me too, usually along the lines of 'your doing really well' Me: No I'm not, I'm dying
'You're half way there' Me: Nooo It cant be! Thought I'd finished'
'That's it you're done' Me: Yesss or more likely thank god for that
It's good to hear her voice though especially the 'only 60 seconds to go'
I talk to her here in Canada as well. At the beginning of week 5 I was convinced she had a no-nonsense tone in her voice. I'm sure it was all in my head. By the end of the run, she was her lovely encouraging self.
im crying reading this....glad im not the only one that does all the above..x
I never have the breath to talk to her but what's I'm saying inside my head is unrepeatable!
i'm on wk3r1 and she never talks to me other than jog, walk, cool down. Have you been courting her long?
Ha ha I am on week 1 run 1 I see Laura and I are going to have some fun.
What I liked about the first "run" was that at the end of the effort she said "slow down now"
As if I had been going at some speed rather than a plodding stumble.
Ha I do too...in the gym! Sure I get funny looks but I can't help myself, especially if Laura asks a question...it'd be rude not to answer, right?
Im feeling so much better....Laura is currently my enemy....but i'm hoping we will be friends soon,.....im at the end of week 4!
I occasionally find myself responding out loud - I've been lucky so far that nobody's been around to hear me!
