W9r1...Can't believe I'm at W9! Oh happy day! 4.95K in 34 mins!

Up bright (?) and early for my run. I did my long route today. I like this one as Google maps always gives me a good distance, not like W8r3 where I thought I'd done around 5K but turned out to be 3.9! Very hard work but I did over 30 mins so I could track it on Google maps. I'm very pleased with myself, especially after last Mondays disastrous run! Good luck everyone who's doing C25K. What a brilliant plan. I may not be saying this on Wednesday morning at 5.30 am though!

  • Wow well done!! Two more to go until graduation :D

  • Well done you :) you an do it, once you are out of the door and running you will feel great :)

I like early morning runs as it gets itout of the way and I feel great for the rest of the day.

  • Well done - 5K too, awesome! Nearly there....

  • Thank you! I'm already shattered when I wake up and can't imagine finding the energy to run later in the day. I really can't believe there are only 2 more runs to go. I've started looking at gps watches as I think they'll help but on the potentially cheapest (Garmin forerunner110) the screen mists over when the weather's cold, and can't be read which is no use. I'm determined to keep on running (there was a song with this title in 60s or 70s!). After all this effort, I'm not stopping now. Sadly, the music doesn't inspire me but I have it on quite low and my breathing is much noisier!

  • Thanks for the tip about google maps, I had no idea that I could track my distance this way (not the most technically minded!), have now been able to measure my route more accurately. Best wishes for graduation, I think we both graduate the same day (hopefully!)

  • Well done. That sounds like a great distance and time. :) I suspect you will be graduating before me (still not managed a continuous 30 mins this week) but hopefully I won't be too far behind now.
