Olympic fever!

I've been so happy watching the Olympics, sad that it's the last day! Still, paralympics soon! I'm still not allowed to run according to my osteopath, so it'll be another few weeks until I'm back out there. The muscles in my legs are very tight so I've got stretching exercises that I have to do every day. I feel good though, like I'm making progress. I just miss the exercise, it's difficult to keep on the go when you have to stay off your knee.

I'm going to try and get my boyfriend to drive us to the leisure centre later. We just want to see what it's like and pick up a schedule. I've also asked my brother whether he wants to come and play badminton with me sometime when I'm better. I really want to get back to exercising regularly, I miss it.

I've been getting some workouts from tidying my room - I'm moving house soon so everything needs to be sorted out and packed. Amazing how much of a sweat you can work up doing that... Still I do miss running, it's such a rush and a sense of achievement I get from that. I just have to make sure I get better and don't injure myself again. I want to hopefully do my first charity race soon but I may have to build up to the half hour again so just graduating will be enough!

Hi there. It must be so frustrating for you, having to be a spectator rather than participating in running, badminton etc. Hope you get back to Couch25k soon but make sure and take it slowly! Good luck!
