Whoever lost 3 pounds in the last couple days....

......I have it. And you are welcome to it back.

I HATE it when that happens. I've been being extra, extra, careful with my diet. Even keeping a food "diary". (How sick is that?) I HAD lost over a stone since starting C25K. Operative word there is "had". Yesterday morning....not so good. Going in the wrong direction. And there is no reason for it. I'm calling it a "fluke" and trying not to get myself too worked up over it. (But you KNOW I am...)

I've started swimming a mile and riding the indoor cycle (working on heart rate/cadence for now) on the "off" running days, so that makes for a full schedule. (See why I don't understand the sudden weight gain?) And watching the Olympics...how inspiring is THAT?

Hope all are meeting or exceeding your goals right now.

If nobody claims that three pounds, I'm gonna pitch it in the dustbin.....

Hi Grammadog1947, I know how disappointed you feel but it's just a number on the scale. I read all your blogs and you have inspired me and helped me to keep on going. I have just finished week 8 and I am loving it! Have you lost inches and laid down muscle or is it water retention? If you feel healthy and fit and you look good in your clothes then I would just ignore that 3lbs for now and weigh again in a weeks time. I am at my target weight and have been since starting c25k but haven't lost an ounce. I also walk the dog for miles every day and work three nights a week so i'm not inactive but I have lost an inch from my bust, waist and hips and half an inch from my upper arms. Wish me luck with week 9 and keep on blogging as you help far more people than you can imagine. xxx

O, you're absolutely correct...there is some underlying mischief going on with the ole' bod. And I DO see changes...a curve here, a curve there, emerging from under the layer of blubber I'd packed on on the last 25 years or so. And the other day I even saw what looked like a muscle! lol

I've lost 71 and a 1/2 pounds since starting c25k on march 9th.

I hoped to lose weight doing the C25K but bucked the trend and ended up half a stone heavier. But you know what, I feel 100% better, fitter, happier, more confident, 'firmer' (haven't got out tape measure!) and think, so what, I've gone in exactly the right direction. People like you inspired me to do it - thank you. Just carry on and feel good about yourself!
