W9 R3 yay!

So after being plagued by shin splints and a mega dose of the Flu plus a chest infection. I finally completed the program!! 5.11 km in 30 mins. Very pleased with myself! Last week I was fretting about how to get back on track as I had been so ill but yesterday after planning a 20 min run I decided that I could push through and do it which meant I did my graduation run today..in the beautiful Melbourne sunshine( its winter here). From gasping for breath after a 3 min run back in the first weeks, along with the mental battles that rage during the longer runs to being able to run for 30 mins is an amazing feeling! So how do I get my graduation badge?? I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself. My next goal is to compete in a 5 km but for now I am happy in my own little running world looking at gardens and smiling at the same old faces every morning ( I can smile at them now...It used to be a grimace and attempted head nod!!) I am even going to say "Hi" to the professional super uber fit girl I see frequently with her hair not out of place and all the 'gear'.. because I'm a runner now!!
