Week1 ...for the second week! No point moving on to Week 2 if I can't run all the 60sec runs . I go out on Monday/Wednesday/Friday and yesterday I finally managed to do all the 60 sec runs...just! Was so slow on the last one, but a great achievement for this old lady.
My husband has discovered what I'm up to! Hadn't told anyone at all in case they thought me daft but husband started querying change of eating habits...ie more porridge for breakfast, then he confessed that he had found my links to C25K site so had guessed what i was up to. He has declined to join me...saying that a 4 mile bike ride to work, then 4 miles home again each day is enough for him.

Brilliant! I have noticed a few people on here who have completed C25K who used to do a lot of running. It seems to be a popular way of getting back into it! So glad you are here. Its going to be fun! Hard work too! Its one of the best things I have ever done Good luck
I hope your husband realises how addictive this running lark can become. Take your time and move onto the next week when you have successfully completed the week before. I've just started week 3, although I didn't think I could do it, but the c25k system seems to work well. Running isn't for everyone, but maybe one day he can accompany you on your runs on his bike.
I have the NHS programme on my mp3...very useful....I do want to be out every day though!! As you say, very addictive. My husband did ask if I would be out when we are on holiday...running round Birmingham streets early morning is perhaps not advisable
Well done for taking the plunge, I don't think a person is ever too old to try something new. I had only jogged a few times with my eldest son way back over 30 years ago, he doesn't even remember doing it!! So long as you listen to your body, take your rest days but that doesn't mean you can't still be active, you can walk, swim or cycle to nme just a few alternatives but its best not to run as your leg muscles need time to repair and get ready for the next time. Good luck with the programme. My hubby is still on the couch too.
plenty of 60+ runners on here, ElsieJoy, so welcome and happy running C25k often leads to greater things so I wouldn't be surprised if your husband does decide to join you one day. After all, running is very different from cycling and he might enjoy it
