I run mon/wed/fri and take the weekend off. Hasn't made any difference to my fitness or stamina so just make the programme fit your lifestyle or it might be difficult to keep it up.

Well done on completing week 3!! :)

How the plan works for you is the best way to approach it, so if you want to take more than a day between weeks then thats fine. I try to take 2 days between weeks so that I am fully rested before starting a new challenge.

Good luck with the rest of the program :)

I run Tues/Thurs and once at the weekend, taking 2 days off during the week or between weeks doesn't seem to have affected me, I start W7 tomorrow :)

I quite frequently end up with 3 rest days, due to working nights on a strange rota...I don't think it's made a difference to be honest!

So long as I am able, I run every other day, so no I didn't deliberately leave any extra days between "Weeks" and they didn't bear any relation to calendar weeks. I had to do the 'Week ' podcast a lot of times before I could complete it but in a sense I 'caught' up time later because if each run is complete and you do it every other day you are moving on every 6 days and faster than a calendar week. Sometimes I'm too ill or other things make it difficult to fit in but because I don't run on set days it doesn't feel as though I have 'missed' a run.

Since graduating I think I do tend to think more in terms of how many runs in a week, to keep the momentum going - it does help to stop me sliding into doing less and less. Last week I ran Sunday, Thursday, Saturday. I guess it depends on your circumstances - whatever works for you. Some of us definitely go for routine and others don't. It can be illuminating to try the occasional experiment eg trying a run at a different time of day.

It's not having any days off running that runs more serious risks. I guess if you were finding yourself making excuses regularly to add another rest day, things might not be working for you but to me it sounds as though you are simply making sure the plan fits neatly into your life - after all the idea is not just to complete the programme but to acquire a habit for life.

I run 3x a week so will have one two day break at some point. What days it falls on depends on my schedule. :)
