W5R3 done yesterday evening! I made sure I was in a positive mindset, even though I was still entirely convinced 8 minutes to 20 minutes was far too big a jump!
When Laura told me I'd run 5 minutes, I was pretty tired already so I'm thankful my pride didn't stop me from turning the speed down! Getting to 10 minutes was painful. Well not actually painful, just seemed to take forever and my legs were getting so heavy!
Then I suddenly got into it, my breathing was steady, I was enjoying myself and I'd stopped watching the time! The last few minutes took a good push but I did it, and felt SO proud of myself I had to stop myself from bursting into tears!
Really can't believe how fit I now feel to be able to succeed at that!
My only issue is one of my knees has started playing up. I squatted down at work (pre-run!) to get something out of a bag and it felt like an air bubble was painfully popping. It doesn't seem to happen when running, just when my knee bends! Hoping this isn't anything serious, and a few rest days will sort it out!
Anyone else experienced this? I don't want to stop running now!
