Race for Life...

....and I did it. So yesterday morning was feeling a little nervous about the run but arrived feeling buoyed up by the other 1999 women ready to complete the 5k one way or another. Was a beautiful morning and I had my sunnies on. Off we went and I weaved around the walkers and was feeling positive when the heavens opened and it absolutely poured down. Torrential rain which happens to be my fave running conditions. Anyway. I did it. In 35 minutes. Very pleased with myself and all the other ladies who ran/walked/jogged yesterday for a very worthy cause.

Just can't walk today.........

Well done you. :-) I've got mine next Sunday and it will be my first run of week 8. I'll be happy if I post a sub-40min time. My 11 year-old niece did it in 24min 20s yesterday, but she has youth on her side.

Brilliant congratulations.

An Ibuprofen before going to bed does wonders to stop stiffness after extra exertion.
