Week 6 Run 1 another one bites the dust woo hoo.

Late yesterday evening I completed Week 6 Run 1. I was extremely tired ached all over but punched the air when I new I'd completed it. At the start of the run section when Laura said run, a guy came out of the side street walking the same route as I was going just slightly in front of me this conjured up all sorts of problems. I run at snail pace and didn't know whether to run fast and get past him on the narrow path (thus using up much needed energy) or to run along side him. However I needn't of worried he was walking much faster than I was running. He then started running ( trying to catch a train I think or get away from me). It was akin to a Benny Hill sketch (any one old enough will remember). Him walking fast with his long hair blowing in the wind, ruck sac on and hob nail boots me chasing him with all the gear and no idea. Must of looked a funny sight. Roll on Week 6 Run 2 hopefully tomorrow.

ooh well done. We are at the same stage. I did week 6 run 1 last night too. I set off far too fast, thought now I had done 20 mins I should run faster for a smaller time but it was a mistake.

Unfortunately Laura does point this out but not until the recovery walk.

Thanks. It's great knowing others are at the same stage, I know last nights run brings you back down to earth a bit, it did seem harder stopping and starting but that ones in the bag, pat on the back to you. Bring on the next one.
