I completed my first week 4 run 1 at 9.5kph, but now my sodding right knee is sore. I think i'm pushing it too hard.... Going to rest it for another few days and lower the speed a bit until i lose a bit more weight.

I too have just completed W4R1 and have had niggly knees for my past couple of runs. You are running nearly twice as fast as me! I try to run on grass verges or softer ground which I find helps. I also took an ibuprofen yesterday before my run and that really helped. Good luck and I hope the knees don't let you down.

You'll notice the 'graduate' bit next to my name... I'm only running faster because i am repeating C25K. My first time round was substantially slower.

I am taking the ibuprofen and using the ice. Past experience has been to leave it a week more or less and then crack back at it, otherwise it doesnt get better.

As i said i think i am pushing my 252lb bottom too hard and my knees are telling me to ease off a bit.

My aim is to run 5k in 30 minutes.
