Wk1 run 1 AGAIN + New Gear!

Have new Trainers...check.

Have new Boulder Holder...check.

Have new MP3 so I can actually listen to the podcast...check.

Even have go faster running socks...check.

Repeating Wk1 and did it sort of properly...nearly killed me. New trainers sure are pretty but gave me pins and needles from the hip down in my right leg! I did my five minute warm down walk bare foot around the park. Stretching exercises back at the car so I did not cease up and get stuck in the car. I nearly had a Tena moment due to poor planning! Boy oh boy, do I have a long way to go!!!

  • Well done you! Now you've got all the gear you'll give it your best shot. Week 1 nearly killed me but it didn't beat me. With determination and hard work you will do this. Can't give any advise on the pins and needles but I'm sure there are many others here that will be able to help. Welcome to the club.

  • Great start! Could your laces be too tight? I could do with go faster socks - or go faster anything really! Good luck with this fantastic programme!

  • Fantastic start! The new gear definitely helps! I had pins and needles at the beginning but they went away as I got further into the programme. Keep going as Laura says, you're doing great!
