well i did it with my sore leg, struggled on run 3 as going uphill, stopped early then realised i was about 3 seconds from laura telling me to slow down anyway which encouraged me to keep going on the others when it got really hard, however i have now hurt my knee on the same leg as. i guess i shouldnt be suprised my body is not used to running and its a lot extra pressure with the added weight, so i have iced my knee and leg and then i found a cooling compression bandage in the cupboard so have stuck that on and will hobble around. quite pleased with myself for doing it and almost doing all the running will just have to try and not let me convince myself this was a bad idea and to keep going, sorry for the downbeat whingey tone

Well done! Dont be downhearted. Look what you have achieved in this short space. Try keeping your pace slow. I am slowing down as I go through the programme just so that I can gain stamina. Uphills are a killer I agree but mine are definitely getting better. You are doing the right thing with the ice too. Its going to be ok and we are all here to help you because I for one will need everyone's encouragement at some stage!
You're a winner for being out there in this heat. Like hollyO says, just think how far you have come already. Take care of the knee tho...if it's not 100% by next scheduled run maybe consider taking an extra rest day. No sense getting a bum knee and getting so discouraged you quit altogether. You can do it...slow and steady wins the race.
Sorry about your knee! You did well going up that hill though! Hope it gets better soon.
Wel done, don't worry about the minor setbacks, just keep it slow and relaxed and you will see how each run improves. Hope your leg feels better soon.
Good excuse to put your feet up and enjoy the sunshine. That's what I am doing. I just faced my deamon on Friday night week 5 run 3 and I did it. So many of us were where you are only just a few weeks ago. You will progress just let you leg recover and then off you go again.
Thank you everyone for your kind words, support and encouragement
