I am sure everyone is different, but what would be the minimum amount of time for most people?
Amount of time between eating and running? - Couch to 5K
Amount of time between eating and running?

I'm not sure, as most websites seem to advise one to four hours... I think as long as it's not a massive meal, you can eat quite close to your run. I tend to eat a cereal bar just before I go running and a banana when I come back.

I usually dont eat for 2-3 hours a run... but if its early in the morning i know i need to fuel the body to get good results so usually a banana suffices. But lots and lots of water...

Unless it is a light breakfast and then I would leave at least an hour I would leave 3 hours, I run better on empty.

My plans were dashed slightly last week by a few phone calls when I got home from work when I normally run before dinner (leaving a good 4-5 hours or so since my last meal - although I'd normally have a light snack inbetween), instead I had to go after dinner, which was also later than planned. I got out the front door at about 9pm, an hour and 20mins since I ate dinner and ran with the most painful stich of my running carrer...I blame the extra enchillada the other half put on my plate while I tried to eat and talk on the phone at the same time!
Unfortunately I have a sensitve stomach, even a cereal bar in there has come back up mid run if I eat it just before going out. I try to leave 3 hours as a minimum, but sometimes life gets in the way!
