Can anyone recommend a good store to get running shoes in the Southampton/Chandlers Ford area?

I really don't know anything about running shoes and am currently running in an old disintegrating pair of shape ups, which I know is not good. Can anyone recommend somewhere good that will explain it all to a numpty like me?!

I don't know that area but well known shops that offer good advice along with gait analysis when buying your running shoes are Up and Running and Sweat Shop. I have also found the InterSport chain good for advice when buying running shoes, but they can be hit and miss and as not all their staff when I have been in are running shoe specialists.

A google search of those may show some in your area.

Hi Pixie

Chandlers Ford boasts a great specialist running shop. I think its in the Fryern Arcade.

If not, there's a running shop in Eastleigh just outside the Swan centre or if you go into Southampton there's a Sweatshop just down from the Bargate.

Can't think of anywhere else! :)

Yep. The Chandler's Ford shop is a branch of Up & Running. I had my gait analysis done there, they were very good.

Thanks very much guys, I'm going to wander down to the Up and Running and get me some proper running shoes :)
