Any shin splint or stitch sufferers out there?

Monday night, I experienced both. Tonight, same route, same sneakers and I was fine. The difference? I drank all my water yesterday and today. I was wondering if anyone else out there has discovered the possible correlation between hydration and shin splints and/or stitch.

i think shin splints is more about muscle wear and impact. I cant see water having anything to do with it. x

I really struggled with my shins, until I bought some ASICS. The other trainers I had were expensive (£60 I think) but a really expensive mistake for me. It may also be your body adjusting...what week are you on?

The shoes are pretty new. I bought them late last year, but they're no where near the end of their life. I'm eight weeks in and had no issues until recently when I didn't fully hydrate the day before so that's why I figured I'd put the question out there. I wonder if it's more muscle cramping and not splints.

My shin splints pain feel totally different from muscle pain. It is a bony pain if that makes any sense?

Kind of Gems. It's definitely a sharp pain, not dull aching. Oh well, as long as I can prevent them with what I've found works, I guess I'll carry on. :)
