Have just done week1 r2 on a cold windy drizzly day (amazed and very pleased with myself) but had a problem in that my ear phones kept dropping out. Any ideas how to get them to stay in - I don't really want to fork out for some more.
How can I stop my earphones dropping out? - Couch to 5K
How can I stop my earphones dropping out?
I gave up on mine in W3 and bought some Sony over the ear ones, they feel a bit wierd but do the trick and don't move. £15 from tesco.
I use over the ear ones too as the in the ear ones irritate me. The over the ear ones stay put. You can pick them up for about £5 upwards.
I have buds that go in the ear and don't fall out. Less than £5.00 in Argos and bright colours too.
Wear a wooly hat over your ears? I've also invested in a cheap pair of in-ear phones, but still wear the wooly hat to keep them in place!!
From my ever faithful Sports Direct

They good because they are cheap, don't fall out and can hear more of the outside world than the decent in-ear pones I started up so I'm less likely to get squished or kidnapped by aliens etc
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I'll have to invest in new phones - or possibly a woolly hat!
(I never knew being abducted by aliens was a hazard for runners!) ;-D
My friends and colleagues reckon aliens from the planet "Fit" have in fact taken over my body since November. Funnily enough that's when I started C25k . . . . .
Right off to wrap tin foil round my head so they cant track me down (I'm beginning to scare myself now )
my earphones fall out if the lead bit is left dangling. I wear my walkman on an armband & thread the earphones round my brastrap twice, then tuck in any extra leads into my bra. theres so much room in there I pop my phone in too!
my earphones are sony but they are kind of a fat teardrop shape & not the ones that go right into your ear. dont like those at all.
I did my first run on Tuesday and found I had the same problem, I popped to Sport's Direct and bought some of the Karrimor ones suggested earlier and used them for my run this evening and they were brilliant
I just loop the cable of the bud type earphone over my ear as if it were an over the ear pair. Works for me, but then I'm used to looking odd.
I only have one earphone in. I used to enjoy going for a walk and hearing the birds and the wind in the trees and it felt all wrong and very sterile closing myself off from that to do the programme. It's not too hard to shove one back in, two is a fiddle I agree.
