I was getting cabin fever! seriously!
Hadn't run since Sunday, I was getting moody and really just wanted to go out. I had no time alone, no babysitter and no chances until yesterday so once the other half got home we had dinner and he said "are you going out then?" I was like "yes please!!!" was a bit worried seeing as I'd only had my evening meal around 20 minutes before I started my brisk walk, and I'd got a few negative doubts about completing W7R2 after having a longer time away, convinced myself I'd fail to be honest.
Eldest daughter came with me on her scooter (blooming noisy thing, the scooter not my daughter)
Made my route up as I went and was hugely surprised when Laura spoke at half way point, I was feeling good and doing well. Looked at my phone (use it as the mp3 player) and saw I had about 5 minutes more of running time when I switched the podcast off, I could have cried, but I kept going while fast forwarding to the beginning of the song I remember being played and carried on. Looking at the time I think I ran around 28 minutes perhaps, but continued on and finished strong.
Really pleased I went out, luckily missed the downpours of rain but it did feel quite refreshing to have a bit of drizzle coming down.
Total distance during running time was 2miles Keeps my pace at its usual plod but I'm happy, even 18hours later.
Its becoming clear to me now that running is a very positive thing for me. Even my daughter said "Mum, do you remember when you were worried about doing a lap round the football pitch and now today you did over 20 minutes" I think secretly she was proud of me too
