Bridget Jones Pants?

Gosh im not too sure how to ask this question but i will! Despite wearing a selection of pants i cant find a pair that i dont end up constantly *adjusting* when out running. Im size 16 on the bottom and tend to wear hi legs..is there such a thing as running pants or maybe i should just buy big bridget jones efforts?

I'd go for big ones!! I find them the most comfortable for running....nothing worse than having ones that you have to 'adjust' (that is such a polite way of putting it).

Thanks for the reply, yeah i struggled for a while to think of a polite way to describe it lol : ) Big pants it is then!

These little beauties (ok not so little) did the trick for me as I was having the same er... problem ;)

Could always try going commando under your running gear depending on what you wear, no knickers, no ride up! This sounded weird to me but on a couple of runner's forums lots of women (and men) don't bother with underwear.

Personally I prefer bigger pants for running with. They tend to stay put better. I have a three times c-section slight tummy overhang and can't be doing with bikini/thong type things that sit under it; I'd rather have something over it that pulls it in a bit!!

Carole, I so hear you on the c-section tummy (or the apron as my friend calls it) I'm another supporter of pants of the larger variety for running in. You can get running pants I'm sure of it, but I've been happy with good old M&S seamless boy short things - incredibly comfy, no vpl (important under those running tights lol) and they don't shift! Bikini style briefs just shift around too much for my liking :-) I've also heard of going commando - I won't be - my running tights have a mesh panel in a 'certain' area - if I went commando and were to trip and land less than elegantly I'm not sure I could ever show my face in public again!

big pants all the way. seam free pants from asda have become my running pants. made the mistake of wearing something different the other day & regretted it from the moment I started running :)

I too suffer from what my friend refers to as "hungry bum" and find myself constantly adjusting. I was wondering if it was viable to wear Spanx while running but one of my C25K buddies swears by these babies: zaggora.com/hotpants/

The are not attractive, they feel like a wetsuit and she has to peel them off after running but she is very happy with the results and they stop bum wobble too !

Ha Ha! Hungry bum, never heard that one before, thanks for that in an otherwise dull morning...;)

Lazybones, do they really work in the weight loss sense?? Coz they ain't cheap!

Personally I don't know but my Zaggora wearing friend feels that the tops of her thighs are slimmer, cellulite is less pronounced and skin tone improved. She got them for half price through a Groupon/LivingSocial deal so if you are thinking on investing it may be worth waiting for a deal to pop up.

Thank you all so much for your replies, some of them have made me chuckle especially the 'hungry bum' descriptor! Trip to M&S it is for me then.

just been chatting with a boy who runs... Apparently boys also have pant trouble too and running commando is never a good idea...

Im so glad to know that i wasnt the only one with this question, it would appear that we can all suffer from hungry bum syndrome, men and women! :)

I bought some Odlo sports underwear for when I'm fell-walking or skiing. It seemed silly to have technical wicking outerwear only to have sweaty uncomfortable underwear.

I now wear the Odlo pants for running and they are so comfortable. All moisture is wicked away and there is no rubbing from any seams. They weren't cheap but they've lasted me ages. I think I paid £13 per pair in a sale. The good thing is they dry really quickly when washed so you don't need to have multiple pairs hanging around in your drawers (excuse the pun!).
