Didn't plan to run first thing this morning but I was awake and the forecast is for sleet and snow later - no brainer, go while it's dry!!

Bitterly cold, went out with my new flourescent shell on and less layers after being too warm the last few runs - that was cold until I got running but really needed gloves and didn't have any and wasn't going back for them - chilly hands all the way round.

So that's it done - first 5 minutes running were the hardest as always until everything got going. Still have to conciously relax my legs and hips - I seem to do this mad thing of going tight / stiff and then the shin splints threaten. Made it through with a feeling that I could have gone on a bit longer so hopefully that will play out ok on Monday's run!
