Treadmill...but I'm back!

Update on previous post re returning to C25K.After completing c25k in 2020 then stopping running 2 years ago, I always had a nagging voice telling me to return, and try again.

I downloaded the couch to 5k app on my phone last year, and completed Run 1 in September 2024. I then bottled out. I finally got round to doing Run 2 today 😁 Really enjoyed it. Easy pace. Chuffed with myself 🎉

I completed it on treadmill in gym at an incline of 1.5. I'm more comfortable on the treadmill just now till I find my feet again. Hoping an incline of 1.5 is okay for for now 🤔, and I'm going at a realistic pace for a returner. Anyone else using a treadmill?

We do have a few treadmill C25k-ers, and they might have extra advice. But you certainly can do C25k on a treadmill.

Fantastic for you to start this journey! Enjoy!

I completed C25K on a treadmill in July 2024 on a treadmill. I still run 5k three times a week on it. Occasionally I run outside but am so used to running on the treadmill. I have run further sometimes if I'm in the zone but 5k three times a week keeps me happy!

I must admit, I feel a bit more secure running on treadmill. And I can do it in any weather 🤗

In contrast, I have never run on a treadmill. I've walked on one many years ago, but I wasn't doing any running then.

Lots of our folk have used treadmills to complete this... they can be really useful and for some, the only way they are able to complete the running.

I had one for a while for really inclement weather, ( ice especially and for after injury.. ) but have not got one currently.. . for me, the great outdoors, in all seasons is the best, but we are all so different .. that is what makes this forum such a great place to be!

Absolutely Oldfloss. It would be a dull old world if we were all the same 🤗
