Finally - W7R2

Well, after being pathetic and looking for - and finding - excuses on Sunday (I'm very good at this if I don't run first thing in the morning) and then not being well over Sunday night, I finally got out this morning and did this run. Look, it's never going to be easy at this stage and at this age but I did it and I wasn't incapable when I got home. Tha is not a bad claim as far as i am concerned.

It feels good to have completed it and I am pleased with myself. Beyond that, there isn't much to report.

I'll give a little reminder both to myself and others about keeping hydrated - I think this might have been what caused the unwellness on Sunday night. Perhaps I have been gradually not quite hydrating enoughand depleting my reserves but I am now on top of it and hope it won't happen again.

Keep drinking, folks.

Well done for getting out there, sometimes it's worth the effort it takes. Funny how something as simple as being properly hydrated makes such a difference, and not only when we run.

I've found that when I'm on a long drive, if I make sure I keep drinking water I don't get anywhere near as tired and sleepy in the afternoon (a shot of espresso and a five minute nap as well work absolute wonders :) )

I'm guessing a Sunday evening wine doesn't really cut the mustard on hydration! Well done you the runs are harder now as I found out this morning. Hydration is so important and lesson learned. Doing well sheps, doing well

I'll see your sunday evening wine and raise you my Sunday evening whine - I was not impressed with myself. But i suspect that my lack of oomph was due to being deydrated. I'm going to really concentrate on keeping well watered to avoid that happening again.

Looking forward to your run report.

Very good spelling pun there... Be kind to yourself, sometimes forcing yourself to do it when you really don't fancy it just means you fall at the first step. I know when I've screamed when doing a run that it usually ends up as too short, or rubbish, or I abort early.

Having said that I also have prevarication issues and sticking at a routine is always better for me. So welcome to the Hypocrites R Us Running Group.

I should be out again Thursday whine not join me???

The pun was intentional, the spelling errors were exactly that.

I'm hoping fot Thursday morning - though it might be Friday. I'm not rushing through and allowing an extra day when I think I need it (aka CBA).

Fair enough - the runs take their toll especially at this length and you have to work too - I spend all my day on a chaise longue just waiting lazily for the next run reminder to pop up!

If you didn't like this run you could always do W6R3 another time. 🤣
