Hi all.

At last I have a diagnosis. Popliteus Tendonitis.

I am currently being treated. It’s a slow process but at least I know what I’m up against now. Hope you are all well. I will probably have to repeat the C25K but that’s ok. I enjoyed it. And now I know what to expect and hopefully I will learn from my mistakes as I go along.

Sorry to hear you're still not recovered but at least you know what the problem is now. Here's wishing that you get well soon, by the time you're back to running the weather should be lovely :)

so sorry to hear that but at least you know now.

It will be interesting which exercises the physio suggests. Sending over healing wishes!

A starting point... so... relax and take it, yes, you have guessed it...slow and steady. Many of us are, for whatever, repeating and beginning again.

Me included... I am using a slightly different plan, and my first run yesterday? Five minutes. It was not the easieast intitally bit as I relaxed and let the legs take me it was fine.

Off you go and I will give you a wave!

Exotic diagnosis at that.

It’s a big shame to be derailed when just into running and chuffed with oneself -I was just after graduation by shin splints and I know how disappointed I was. I think I had followed the programme too religiously and whilst only going slowly , my body wasn’t adapting fast enough.

Please don’t be put off . When you can safely and with physio or other med blessing, start again very gently. Build yourself back by stealth rather than whizzing through the programme. All runs , however slow, gentle and short, are runs .

I rewrote the programme for myself with tiny increments and never doing 3 runs a week. I’ve managed to regain and maintain the ability to trot around and get some worthwhile but undramatic exercise whilst doing so.

Best wishes
