I stepped outside just before eight this morning and immediately leapt back into the house to add extra layers. A lazy wind - can't be bothered to go around you so goes stright through - and bitterly cold.
Being so cold, and the second half running back into the wind, made it a struggle nad not very enjoyable. I'm tempted to do it again on a kinder day. I'll see how I feel next time. Mr Cram says it's ok to repeat runs so I am happy to do so if i feel it is needed.
Nothing interesting to report - no ships - but it is now sunny and lovely looking out there. The garden colours are coming to life - white snowdrops, purple crocuses, yellow daffs. Spring must surely be on its way.
Happy running everyone.

The fact that today was a struggle but you went ahead and ran anyway is a testament to your endurance and commitment. Not every run is fun, the weather etc can truly sap the pleasure away but that doesn't take away from the fact that you've got through Week 4 now.
I was just thinking you were due out. Cold and damp here no ships either in Fano harbour - but you must have a good micro climate my spring bulbs are a bit reluctant to make an appearance. Kinder days always seem to add to your enthusiasm I find. Well done
I was wishing for some softer Italian air this morning, that's for sure. I had to make do with my Italian Duolingo lesson, which absolutely does not cut it.
Sounds like a cold and icy run. Well done for getting out there! Not sure this helps, but I have a “Cold and Wet” plat list on Spotify 🎶🎶 that I run to, and it helps me get out there as it feels the singers are commiserating with me! 🤣 So making my own song list works for me, but if you don’t won’t to make your own, here is my “Cold and Wet” song list: open.spotify.com/playlist/1...
But it sounds like you got this! With or without music! Well done!
I don't run to music - I prefer to keep my own tempo and, on the pavement free lanes where I run, I need my ears fully open. As runs get longer, I sometimes listen to spoken podcsts - Natalie Haynes being my favourite. I do, sort of envy those who can enjoy music as they run but it's not for me.
well done sheps …doesn’t have to be anything exciting, just as long as you’re out there doing your thing, which you are…& if you need to repeat on a better day then so be it…you’re doing well
I remember you from first time around, when we were pacing each other. And here you still are, being so supportive to everyone while I've been slacking. 😇What a star xx
it’s cold here on a grey south coast but the birds are singing and the crocus are starting to push through. The gorse on the cliff is a cheery yellow glow through the gloom. Spring is definitely coming.
