🍏“Congratulations, running Grads!

To use the words of the wonderful Annieapple

"You’ve crushed the miles, powered through the sweat, and earned every step of this achievement. From laces to finish lines, you’ve shown grit, determination, and a whole lot of awesome. Enjoy the celebration. "

Here’s to your new starting line—whether it be your first consolidation run, a park run Stepping Stones or the new group for Graduates on Bridge to 10k.

🎺 🎺 🎺 So now, please step up to the podium and collect your badge while we all clap, cheer and sing Congratulations!!

⭐️ Please 'REPLY' to this post below to request your graduate badge and one of the admin team will award it to you ⭐️

Do comment on your journey if you would like to.

Please note that your badge will be seen next to your name on your posts and comments within Couch to 5K community only, but not on your profile page or other boards.

⭐️We really hope you will continue posting here in the Couch to 5K community, sharing your experience, encouraging new runners and updating us with your progress as you carry on running beyond the programme. The support doesn’t stop when you finish the programme!

If you would like to explore our Bridge to 10k programme...here’s the link. This is for all graduates and not just about going on to 10K.

🥳We’re also running an extra special group for graduates to build to 10k starting Jan 1st-you’d be very welcome to join in anytime! Details here…

⭐️If you would like a Graduation Certificate, there’s one for you to download right here…

Why not too, try to keep that running body and mind in trim...try this twelve week consolidation and strength training plan to help reduce the possibility of injury - and which you can super charge your running.

Once again, a MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS to you.

Please can I have my badge please? :) It has taken me a year in total to achieve 5K. My lesson is to adhere the advice to slow your pace. Once I managed to do that I achieved 5K within weeks.

In the finish funnel, queuing for my badge, please..

My running journey started late July when I went to meet a friend for a dog walk. I decided to go early to WATCH the parkrun set off. Having stood there listening to the briefing, the Run Director then announces “3-2-1, Go!”, and off I went.. in non-running trainers, dressy shorts, and my handbag in tow! 🤭😂

After parkrun #9 and finding it no easier to get round, but weirdly loving it, I decided to start C25K.

I am now up to parkrun #21, plus 6 volunteer credits, and have just completed Week 9 Run 3! ✅🙌🏼

If you haven’t tried parkrun, I can’t recommend it enough - it is addictive; the text/email you receive after each event with your time/stats is so motivating. It really doesn’t matter if you walk, jog or run - I have done a combination of all three since Day 1.

Good luck, everyone! 🩷🏃🏼‍♀️👊🏼
